Travel is something we all dream of from time to time. Whether you’re just a casual kind of holidaymaker, or you’re a seasoned traveler who loves planning their next breakaway, you’re going to have a list of all the places you want to go, and all the things you want to do whilst you’re there. All in all, you’re going to have a ‘travel bucket list’, and if it’s looking a little bit empty lately, we’ve got just the list for you to help fill it back up again!
So, without further ado, here are just a few things that should shoot straight to the top of your adventure bucket list. If you love the idea of going on your travels, whether that be just on the road or flying to the most remote destinations, you’re going to love the suggestions below.
A Trip to See the Northern Lights
The Aurora Borealis, more commonly known as the Northern Lights, are a big draw for any tourist interested in the Northern Hemisphere. If you like the cooler side of the climate, and you love the history of Scandinavian countries, make sure this sight is at the top of your travel bucket list.
After all, they’re quite rare to set your eyes on, and you never know when conditions are going to be clear enough for you to catch a glimpse of them yourself – you’re going to need to book quite a few holidays to places like Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Canada or Greenland!
An American Hotel Resort
America has a lot to offer even the most veteran of regular travelers, seeing as it’s one of the biggest land masses on Earth. There are all kinds of things you can get up to whilst you’re there, and you’re going to need as many separate holidays as there are states in North America to even cover the entire continent!
But one of the most interesting things you could get up to whilst you there is visiting a hotel resort. These are quite popular across the entirety of the map, especially if you’re headed off to casino centers like Las Vegas and Atlantic City – for example, the Borgata resort in the latter is quite popular with people coming for a slice of popular and/or cultural American life, so it could go straight to the top of your bucket list if you’re interested in the same!
And it’s not just the fun gambling opportunities that are on offer at these kind of resorts – there are all kinds of amenities you could dip your toes into. Day and night spas, live entertainment shows 24 hours a day, as well as plenty of shops and boutique store that’ll carry all kinds of souvenirs you can take home with you.
Hike to See an Ancient Spectacle
There are a lot of ancient spectacles in the world, and if you’re someone who loves to travel back in time, or you have a love of anything historical, taking the time to visit any one of them is going to be a great travel plan for you. And if you’ve got a bit of a bare bucket list at the moment, why not look up what ancient castles, ancient landmarks, or set of ancient ruins are near you? Because there’s a good guarantee at least a couple exist in your immediate vicinity!
But some of the most famous out there require a good hike to get along to. Places like Machu Picchu, the city of Pompeii, Chichen Itza in Mexico etc., are all great hiking spots that’ll really stretch your legs out. And there’ll be a wonderful reward waiting for you at the end of your journey, so the time and distance it’ll take will definitely be worth it! Just be sure to pack a good pair of walking boots, because any old flip flops or plimsolls just won’t cut it.
So, What’s Your Travel Bucket List Looking Like?
Yes, we all have one! And if yours is a bit empty at the moment, or you’re not feeling too inspired by the ideas that are left to go, be sure to pack it back out again with ideas like these. Get your love of traveling back, and make sure you’re motivated to reach those places at the end of the list by filling up the space with some great destinations to get you started.
