Kruger National Park

No trip to South Africa is complete without a visit to its oldest and largest national park. Kruger has an incredible variety of flora and fauna and is just a 4 hour drive away from Johannesburg, making it an absolute must visit. Here, you’ll get the chance to view the ‘Big Five’ and the lesser known ‘Little Five’ along with a mindblowing diversity of bird and animal life which you can explore in the jeep and night safaris.
Looking to take it up a notch? Make sure you take the hot air balloon ride!
Drakensberg

Drakensberg quite literally translates into ‘Dragon Mountains’ and is again, a super popular destination worth visiting on your trip to South Africa. Brace yourself for some jaw dropping scenic views of the mountain ranges, including the highest peak in the country. Infact, Drakensberg is one of the best destinations for those who love hiking, whitewater rafting, horse riding, and other adventure activities.
Cape Town

Cape Town may be one of the most breathtakingly beautiful cities on the planet, but that isn’t the only reason to get yourself here. The array of activities and attractions you can indulge yourself in when you’re here is what makes it worth it. From the cable car ride and the hikes to the waterfront boardwalk and the dining destinations, there’s absolutely no way you’ll get bored here.
The Garden Route

Take in some of the most beautiful scenic views of the coastline of South Africa as you pass through the Garden Route, which is spread across 200 kilometers! From the lush green hills to the coastal cliffs and towns, it can turn out to be a surreal experience! If you’re here, make sure you visit the rather charming town called Knysna, which is surrounded by dense forests and has a gorgeous lagoon to boast of!
Hermanus

If you’re in Cape Town, don’t miss out on visiting Hermanus, which is just 120 km away- the perfect place to go whale watching! Hop onto one of the boats and you can spot the whales and their antics like never before. Plus, when you’re here, you can also get a taste of some delicious gourmet cuisine!
Hogsback

And of course, you wouldn’t want to miss out on your chance to visit the quaint little town that supposedly inspired J.R.R. Tolkien for his ‘The Lord of the Rings.’ With lush greenery (which hosts some endemic wildlife that you might spot) all around and scenic hiking trails that end in waterfalls and lakes, it is a place you wouldn’t want to miss if you’re looking to get some peace and quiet on your trip.
Durban

Known for its rich culture, beautiful golden beaches and great restaurants, Durban is one of the most legendary tourist magnets in South Africa, and definitely a must visit, especially if you’re looking to go surfing! The best way to explore Durban is to go biking or rent a Segway!
