How quickly time flies! We’re almost at the second half of 2022 and I’m here to share how I’ve been going with the flow.
Six Months Of Going With The Flow
Late in 2021, when I was thinking of what my Word of The Year for 2022 would be, the word ‘Flow’ occurred to me. You can read all about that here.
Very soon after I picked the word, I came across this picture and fell in love with it. For me, it encapsulates what ‘flow’ is all about for me. Flow is all about letting life happen to you, enjoying it gratefully, allowing yourself to be carried along and yet moving towards a goal.

One of the important things I’ve been doing this year is to choose a monthly theme for my Word and write a post each month about it. This has really helped me focus better and found the following to be true.
The more you go with the flow of life and surrender the outcome to God, and the less you seek constant clarity, the more you will find that fabulous things start to show up in your life. – Mandy Hale
Going With The Flow In June
In June, I just allowed myself to go with the flow. I didn’t plan too much, spent more time resting and just being and trying not to feel guilty about any of this! I’ve also been spending more time learning and enjoying that.
If there’s one thing that is really troubling me, it’s the state of our country, as fascism and religious intolerance is at an all time high. This is the one area I can’t seem to be at peace about and need to find a way to do more. I’ve been praying about this and still haven’t found an answer to.
As I journey through the next six months of 2022, I hope to allow myself to be more open, more flexible, sensitive and responsive to the situations in the world.
I’m joining Lisa’s One Word Linkup for June 2022

Do you think this is the result of the recent pandemic years Corinne or something that’s been brewing for a while.

It’s been brewing for quite a while, Cathy. The current government is backed by a fascist body that encourages hatred.
Your June sounds quite like mine, Cory. Have done mostly the same and since my WOTY is Balanced Flow, it makes perfect sense to do the same for me too.
I tried adding my link but wasn’t able to. So here goes:

You have said it right…. it is all about letting life happen to you, enjoying it gratefully.
The key word is “enjoying it gratefully”
Reminded me of what Behram Contractor once told his wife when she asked him “what do you pray so much every time when you go to the temple?”
He said “Pray?, I never pray , I only thank him for everything that he has given me”

It is difficult to find peace with all that is happening in the country and right now for me it is closer home in Maharashtra too. It sickens me and Iike you I can’t find ways to deal with it. I feel so frustrated and helpless and terrified all at once.
I am such a planner, so it’s often hard for me to relax and just go with the flow. But it’s a much needed practice and one that coincides with my own One Word of Release. So I have so enjoyed following your practice this year of Flow, Corinne! I’m learning from you.

How wonderful that you have forgone some of your structure so that you have time for other things.
Stopping by today from Lisa’s FB post. Somehow I missed the picture of the dog on the duck floaty. Adorable!
