“The way to develop the habit of savouring is to pause when something is beautiful and good and catches our attention – the sound of rain, the look of the night sky – the glow in a child’s eyes, or when we witness some kindness. Pause… then totally immerse in the experience of savoring it.” ~ Tara Brach

Last week I started a short feature called Sunday Sentence. One image. One sentence. Every Sunday.
This picture story is seamless and tells a thousand stories. My interpretation is about happiness, grief, and longing for this fruit, ailed by poverty.
Yes, it can have several interpretations, Vishal. Thank you for stopping by.

This reminds me so much of my One Word last year: it was LINGER. I actually went back and forth between LINGER and SAVOR because for my purposes, there was a lot of similarity.
I really needed to read this today to remember to pause and savor because too often I get lost in the next thing instead of enjoying the moment I’m in.
I didn’t follow your journey with ‘linger’, Lisa, but what a great choice of word. It can be interpreted in so many ways including slowing down.

My husband likes this particular Latin phrase a lot : Festina lente (make haste slowly) and I’m learning to like it too.
