Do you wake up somedays feeling like the weight of the whole world is upon you? This is especially true in these pandemic times! You have lots of household chores to do, some work related deadlines to meet and possibly have to supervise your children’s online classes. Then try some positive morning affirmations to feel less stressed and more motivated to take on the day!
Each morning we are born again. Do today what matters most.

Here are some positive morning affirmations to start the day off with joy, purpose and a great attitude:
- Today, I am blessed.
- I am energized and strong.
- Today, I make great decisions.
- I greet today with joy and gratitude.
- I am so grateful for another day; thank you!
- This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
- What a great start to this day.
- Good morning, world! Are you ready for me? Here I come!
- Today I live a purpose-filled life.
- I will live to my full potential today.
- I see new opportunities all around me.
- Positive mind, positive life.
- I am awake to the possibilities around me.
- Today I choose happiness and wellbeing.
- Something wonderful will happen today.
- I was put here to achieve my greatest self.
- And my favourite: “I am open and receptive to all the joy and the abundance of the Universe.

Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning.
— Eleanor Farjeon, made famous by Cat Stevens in his song ‘Morning Has Broken’
Remember, little rituals like starting the day with an affirmation, making your bed as soon as you rise, sitting quietly for a few minutes preferably watching Nature, are all ways that you can charge yourself up for the day ahead.

Love these affirmations…and now I’ll have Morning Has Broken drifting through my brain all day today. 🙂
It’s running through mine too, Jenn! Love that song and all of Cat Stevens’ actually!

lol like Jennifer I’ll have Morning has Broken, that lovely hymn we used to sing at school running through my head all evening.
I’m a sunlight person….curtains open as soon as I wake ( which is why I am not a happy winter person, no daylight at that time)…the first cup of tea is drunk silently, after The Golfer gets up the bed gets left to air until after breakfast then gets made.
Being retired I’m lucky to have the privilege of starting the day slowly….I have memories of the early morning work/school rush and how I wished I could have had more time just to say….thank you for a new day.
I love that song too, Cathy.

I must have the sunlight too and preferably sit out if it’s not raining to drink our first cup of coffee.
Yes, I know things are different for people who have so much more on their plate than we do, but in many ways, it makes it all the more important to start the day right.

I love reading through positive affirmations. It inspires positive energy. I write affirmations in my morning pages, not daily though. This was a wonderful read, Corinne.

Yes, I do that too sometimes, Vinitha. Usually write those in bold letters too. Thank you for sharing!

Daily I tell myself to start with a morning ritual , positive affirmations, but with a toddler who wakes up frequently at night, it gets so difficult to just wake up. Will try though.
I understand, Ramya. Don’t put pressure on yourself. Consider it morning no matter what time you wake up!

I love the variety of affirmations you offer, lots of great choices. So many of us are used to being told negative things and telling ourselves negative things, that we really need these. I “tweeted” the post and also shared on my Facebook page. Michele
Love these affirmations, Corinne! They make such an impact on us when we set off with the right things to focus on. There is so much that we cannot control in our lives and yet, there is still so much more than lies n our hands. Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful affirmations at a time when we are all struggling so hard to do the balancing act.
