Yes, our little boxer is fast becoming a big boy. He’s a delight when he’s not driving us around the bend! Here are just some of the ways he’s made a difference to our lives:
- He’s brought a lot of fun, laughter and madness (as if we didn’t have enough already?) in to our lives.
- He makes sure we literally get up with the birds.
- We’ve seen certain neighbours smiling for the first time!
- We are now waving out and talking to people who have lived in the neighbourhood for years and made no contact with.
This little poem by an unknown author could have been written for Pablo!
You can’t buy loyalty, they say
I bought it though, the other day;
You can’t buy friendship, tried and true,
Well just the same, I bought that too.
I made my bid, and on the spot
Bought love and faith and a whole job lot
Of happiness, so all in all
The purchase price was pretty small.
I bought a single trusting heart,
That gave devotion from the start.
If you think these things are not for sale,
Buy a brown-eyed puppy with
a stump for a tail.

Lovely! Happy 6-months, Pablo! So-o darling he looks. Just check your mailbox, man! Cuddles…Vidya
Dogs can be a lot of company. WE have always had smaller dogs, easier to handle, we thought. I bet when you take Pablo for a walk, he takes you instead. LOL My niece has a boxer, but he seems to slobber a lot.
he is such a darling :)….
Very nice poem and it is nice to know a new 'member' can bring so many joys to your life!
Pablo is one handsome big boy 🙂 First time here… The poem was lovely 🙂 Cheers!!!
Awwww lovely lines 🙂 Love and hugs to your darling boxer!!!!!! Pablo looks adorable …. and one thing is for sure, they bring a lot of madness in our lives 🙂 Agree with all the other things too, mine wake me up early, they make sure we have friends who ask us how he (the lab) is so cute …(like I know!)… 😆
I like the poem. You say he's a delight when he's not driving you down the bend. Well, I'm not surprised. Frankly, I've never supported the move to train dogs as drivers. They get easily distracted by cats on the sidewalk, and you can just forget about hand-signals.Pablo seems quite adorable. But in the second photo, he kinda looks sad… Or maybe that's just how he is…
Love to you and your lovely one!:) Long time no see!!!
I have a friend who has a boxer…and he is a love!Yours is huggable….and I love his name!Smiles,Jackie
A wonderful ode to Pablo !!
Hi Corinne. I'm so glad to be in touch with you. Many thanks for your wonderful support of me and my blog. I enjoyed reading about Pablo and I enjoyed connecting with your blog and I also enjoyed re-connecting with Mumbai, which I visited a few times in the 1980's when it was named Bombay. What a lively city it is. All the very best to you. Chris
