It’s great to be back to writing for #FiveMinuteFriday after many years. Today’s prompt is ‘Time’ and I couldn’t help but reflect on living in these times.
Living In These Times
Living in these times is not easy.
Fear fills the heart.
Questions haunt me.
Where do I go from here?
When will this be over?
When will we be free?
And of course, we cannot believe that this is happening to us.
We didn’t deserve. It’s all the fault of the Chinese. The Government. The Tablighis.
So unfair. So unjust.
But have we stopped to truly listen. To learn.
How can we use these times to become better people?
Can we find more things to be grateful for?
What are the lessons we can learn?
How can we become healthier?
Can we reach out to the community more effectively? Who needs us at this time?
How can we use these times to become better people?

“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo.
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
“So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
