There are times in my life when I feel mentally, emotionally and yes, physically hopeless. Nothing seems to move in the direction I want it to and I feel bogged down by my own helplessness. In a word, I feel stuck! Do you feel that way too sometimes?
I have tried to pretend I’m not feeling that way – but it doesn’t work. I’ve tried to ‘unstick’ myself by berating myself. That does no good either. In more recent years, I’ve used gratitude as a way to climb out of the hole I find myself in. Focusing on all that’s good in my life and working on it seems to help. Other ways I’ve found useful are to express my feelings to others. No, I don’t expect answers or solutions from them. I just need to vent and I feel better. Writing has helped immensely too.
For me, this feeling of being stuck is an indicator that I need to make some changes in my life and attitude. Knowing that this feeling is a passing one is what makes me feel good. I just let things go, acknowledge how I feel, allow myself to be stay with that feeling and pretty soon I begin to see how I need to change, areas I need to grow in.
And sometimes inspirational quotes are all you need when you feel stuck! So here are some for you.

Great advice. I like your quotes. I’m having one of those days today. It’s a dreary October morning, wet and dark. There’s no sun to perk me up. It’s a mental duvet-day. And I’m going to just let it flow and come out the other side.
