Even if you’ve barked up the wrong tree you can jump from the branches to a high spot on the right tree. ~ Alan Cohen
If I had to live my life over
I would spend much less time:
Daydreaming and more time achieving.
Doing for others and more time empowering them.
Being ‘nice’ to others and more time being nice to myself.
Talking about love and more time loving.
Reading and more time writing.
Crying and more time laughing.
Talking and more time reflecting.
Pretending and more time being ‘me’.
Being afraid and more time following my dreams.
Watching television and more time singing.
Sitting and more time in physical activity.
But I can’t re-live life, so I’ll spend NO time on regrets.
May you be inspired – every day!
Same here..Corrine! And working my best to do all the “more time” things you mention. Can I say I have only just started living?
Marvelous!!
But you can begin today to do all of those things! Beautifully done. ♥ it.
Inspirational! Just loved these thoughts, Corinne. Thanks for brightening my day. 🙂
Blessings!
so very true!
so very true
Love this post. Thanks for sharing. Sometimes I need to snap out of that daydream state that I sometimes float on.
Cool.
Ahhh lovely, but then you are a mover and shaker. You have done more inspiring than daydreaming. Totally agree, why waste time regretting?
good inspiration corinne… but i guess i am today a sum total of all my xperienes. everything was required and necessary to make me strong and self dependent… so no regrets for me either… tc
Just escaped a road accident corinne, this makes a lot of sense, thanks for inspiring!
Enjoyed reading your post. Living the way you listed is the best way. We can’t change the past, but work on the present. Thanks for the reminders..It isn’t always easy.
Lovely thoughts Corinne. You’re so right. We can’t live life over again, so without regret, let’s go on and perhaps make some changes. I could def write more than read more. I’m doing that lately and it makes me happy.
I like the poetic content and form of your post today. Nice.
If I had to live my life over, I would make the same choices and the same mistakes, if not I wouldn’t be who I am today. No regrets too 🙂
@luchismiles Absolutely agree. We are who we are because of our past choices / mistakes and we learn and grow each day.
How true, each one of them! 🙂
@Shail Thank you.
I believe in something like reincarnation, in which case you’ve described karma (which determines how you live your next life — or ‘live your life over’) pretty accurately 😉
@DangerousLinda I did that? I didn’t realize – perhaps I’m getting wise without realizing it 😉
Great post once again Corinne, I feel the same, if I lived with regrets I would never change nor grow.
@jovane4685 Oh exactly. No place for regrets!
Lovely poem Corinne,each and every line is so inspiring.
@privytrifles Thank you.
Love that photo and poem Corinne. Thank you for sharing this with us today. If only!
@AdrienneSmith If only I had responded earlier 🙂 But thank you for your comment.
It’s so good to have this clarity now and live and rich and inspired life with love and compassion at its heart!
@Sandra Pawula Thank you.
I’d spend less time concerned about what others think of me and more about what my Creator thinks of me!
@Elizabeth Young I’m pretty sure He thinks the world of you as He does each of us.
Corinne, I loved the post and I really, really loved the photo! The furry friend on the tree trunk is so adorable! 🙂 I would spend less time worrying about how to make others happy and invest more time doing what makes me happy! 😉
bella Sorry it’s taken me so long to respond to you. I couldn’t resist the picture. Here’s to spending much more time making ourselves happy!
Loved the way you formatted your poem and I loved the picture and caption. Yes, we need to hang out on the right tree, indeed! Great job on the topic.
@schulmanlinda Thank you so much. Hanging on the right tree is what it’s all about.
I am trying to do this though it is difficult but I am trying.
@Rachna I think the important thing is that we’re trying.
it’s beautiful <3
@nikky44 Thank you.
