I am in charge of me.
I am in charge of my feelings.
I am in charge of choosing what is right for me.
No one else can dictate how I act.
No one else can tell me what to feel.
No one else can make choices for me.
I choose to look back on my past with joy.
I choose to enjoy the present.
I choose to believe that my future is secure.
Today I choose to learn.
I choose to grow.
I choose to laugh.
I choose to risk.
Today I choose to be in charge of me.
Who is in charge of you?

I’m planning to give mine away for free to friends Melissa – so save your savings. It’s a collection of affirmations that I’ve been working on – but haven’t completed.
I’m so glad you’re in charge of you. ♥
Thank you BS :*

Very motivating Corinne ! Thanks for reminding – I am definitely in charge of what I am and where I am in life today! I am continuing to take charge of whatever is left, thanks for being a source of inspiration !
I have no doubt that you are in charge of your life, Janet. 🙂

I like to believe I am in charge of myself but sometimes I hand over the charge to others and let them control my day and moods for a while .. ill I realize what a mistake I am making 🙂
So looking forward to your book !
This is an affirmation, Ruchira. There are times I let other people and things control my moods too. But an awareness is what we all are working towards and that’s good, don’t you think? 🙂 This book is just going to be one of simple affirmations.
Look forward to reading your awesome book. Loved the way you have stated who’s in charge of your life 🙂

Corinne, your book!?! Gasp. Wow! I am so very happy. Whenever I read your gyaans, I think: “Corinne can write a book, na” and here you surprise us with this news. Big big hugs and lots of best wishes for this book and YOU.
Sometimes I do think that I am in charge but I would like god to take charge. He knows better.
Joy always,
Susan
Very inspiring words. It is a good reminder for me on being responsible to myself and society. It is important not to get influenced by others and life events so that one may loose hold on our individual identity.
I am a frequent visiter of your blog and look forward to the release of your book, “The Striking Gold”.

I should start taking print-outs of your posts and choosing the best pieces and frame it as affirmations…

I am in charge of myself. There was a time in my past where there were others but I am glad I moved on from that stage and can look back with a smile on that journey till here.
Lovely reminder Corinne 🙂

Hi Corinne
Nice to meet another Corinne, not many of us about!!
Thanks for linking to soulsnet.com because now I have found you. Being in charge of ourselves, at once a liberating and a fearsome thing. Not seeking to blame another but being prepared to take responsibility for ourselves, our own happiness and unhappiness, our own successes and failures. It takes courage, but if we can do it we are on the path to personal freedom.

Blessings, my friend!

In the past I may have spent time reacting to life around me, but these days, I am completely in charge and I am completely responsible for where and who I am. While some people like that, I find others do not and I also find that to be none of my business. I am, first and foremost, ME and this is MY life, so I gotta run it!

Yes, I am so looking forward to your book, Corinne! And, I wish that I could say that I am in charge. But, at varying times, it is the family, the circumstances and sometimes my moods that are in charge of me. I hope that I am in charge of my destiny, though. I just love these short burst of wisdom posts that you do so beautifully. <3 It was lovely chatting up with you, my friend.

oh my… I cannot even begin to tell you how much I needed to read this!
I had reached a point in my life before I got sober where I had lost to power to choose… the bottle was in charge. I live sober today, and as a result I have been given a great gift… the gift of choice. I am in charge of me, but I still struggle with depression. I tend to want to be turtle like, and crawl into my shell. I am incredibly grateful to have a set of tools that help me come out of it. It is icky when I’m in the middle of it… thank God I don’t stay there as long as i once did.
Your words have filled me with encouragement and inspiration… love and light to you my friend!
