On Day 5 of the 7 Days of Gratitude, I’m focusing on gratitude for my body.
Gratitude For My Body
Take a positive inventory of your body, and write down what you are grateful for. Start with your head, and work your way down to your toes. What do you notice? What can your body do? What amazes you about it?

No matter what may feel/be “wrong” with your body, there is an overwhelming amount that is perfectly right about your body at all times. Your body is, indeed, nothing short of an absolute miracle.
Kristi Nelson
Placing my hand on my heart, I take a deep breath and give thanks for my body that has seen 56 years of living. I’ve not always been kind to my body, both in the way I think of it and in how I care for it, but I’m grateful all the same.
As I mentally scan my body from head to toe, I give thanks for all my organs, for my faculties, for energy and strength. Grateful too for the small aches and pains that remind me to take better care of myself.
Gratitude for my ability to hear, to speak, to smell, to touch, to taste – what would life be without these senses.
Grateful for my limbs that help me to move, to hold, to create, to write – I can’t take any movements for granted.
My heart and the whole nervous system, how blood flows through my veins, sending life to every part of me, makes me so full of gratitude.
Today, as I express gratitude for my body, I remind myself to focus on taking better of it.
I am grateful for what I am and have. My thanksgiving is perpetual. It is surprising how contented one can be with nothing definite…. My breath is sweet to me. O how I laugh when I think of my vague, indefinite riches. No run on my bank can drain it, for my wealth is not possession but enjoyment.
Henry David Thoreau
This is so therapeutic and beautiful Corinne. Hope I can find time in doing so to help override all negative feeling cropping up from time to time. Stay safe and well.
