Here’s a great idea for showing appreciation:
A gratitude box is a wonderful gift to make for someone. Sandra Magsamen says all you have to do is write things you appreciate about someone on slips of paper. You can write things like, “I am grateful for your…smile, the sound of our voice, your hugs, etc.”
You can write as many “gratitudes” as you feel in your heart and place them in a little box or a velvet bag. Then, present it as a unique and heartfelt gift of appreciation and love.

Another idea is to write down everyday one thing that you are grateful for on a slip of paper and ‘post’ them in the box. You can get your whole family to participate. Open the box on a mutually agreed date and read the slips out loud. It’s makes a great add to a family occasion and a good reminder of all the gifts we enjoy.
That's a nice idea! I will try it out sometime soon 🙂
What a wonderful and unique gift idea 🙂
oh.
When my kids were young we played this game of telling each of us 5 things we hated and then 5 things we loved about each – it was great fun when the lists were read out 🙂
This lovely idea reminded me of those lists… I still love to read what the kids liked about me and equally what they hated about me 🙂 And I can so picture how much joy this gratitude box will give to the receiver!!
You do come up with delightful posts Corinne!!
@ Doli – I must try it out too.
@ Simply Me – I thought so too – couldn't wait to share it when I came across it.
@ 25BAR – What was that about? 🙂 – Great blog you have…
@ IHM – What a lovely way to teach your kids a whole lot of things – appreciation/ gratitude/ and how to give feedback. Trust you to come up with such inventive stuff. Thanks for the appreciation – it means a lot.
