Today as I sit down to look back on how my journey with my Word of The Year (WOTY) went, I’m flowing with gratitude. I can’t believe that I’ve actually written 12 + 1 posts on my Word – Flow.
Flowing With Gratitude
The best part of this year has been my ability to make time for reflection. In August, my birthday month, while reflecting more on gratitude, I discovered a fantastic way of making life and decision making easier. I learned how to work towards aligning with my principles. Having identified and named my 5 principles – Faith, Love (and Kindness), Authenticity, Gratitude and Justice – and tried to work my WOTY around that.
In the very humourous way that God often works, He’s been pushing me, through various circumstances to live up to these principles! It’s like He said, ‘You made these public, now live by them.’ 😉
I wish I could say that I’ve been always been successful, but that wouldn’t be true. I have been trying though. And I’m grateful for all the love, support and resources I have at my disposal that make it possible for me to live a meaningful life.
At the end of this year, I can truly say that I tried to go with the flow and be present in my own life.
Thanks to Lisa Burgess and the One Word community that she has created that keeps me focused on my word.

Announcing My WOTY: Everyday Gyaan My Word For 2022
I’m still in the process of figuring out my WOTY for 2023. Stay tuned!
Love and gratitude. Blessed Christmas and happy new year 2023.
Congratulations on writing so many posts on your word, Corinne! I’ve enjoyed reading every one of them. I especially love how you identified and named your 5 principles…I may borrow that idea for my 2023 word Human…
I started practicing gratitude after I joined write tribe. My life changed after that. I am so grateful to you and the others who led me towards a life of gratitude. I have also started to live my most authentic life. I love how we all are trying to align with our values. As usual a beautiful post. And thank you for being such a great mentor.

Thanks for sharing this review and connecting me to the tribe. And most importantly so much gratitude dear Cory for teaching me the value of WOTY.
Look forward to writing a quick short post now.
Love, light, laughter and more flow in 2023.

I loved all your posts and this year one of my intentions is to write a post on my WOTY every month to keep on track . I am totally copying that from you!!! God Bless and have a wonderful year!!
Hi Corinne, and happy new year!! I was so glad that your blog popped up on 365 Smart Living. We sort of lost touch, but now I’ve starred your blog and will be a regular reader again as I was back in the day.
I really enjoyed your reflections on “flow” as your word of the year. The last time I had a WOTY, it was 2013 and my word was “wait.” I joke that maybe I’m still waiting! However, this year, 10 years later, a word came to me and I’m thinking I might try having a WOTY again. “Liberate” is the word that came to me. I want to liberate my spirit from everything that holds me back, and I want to liberate others from any judgement or limitation I have placed on them. We’ll see what happens with this.
In the meantime, I am super happy to be reconnected to you. I hope your year is off to a great start.
