In March, thanks to a lovely 40 Day One Word project created by Lisa Hite and shared by Lisa Burgess, I kept looking out for various occurrences of the word ‘flow’. In many ways, this exercise got me to go deeper into my Word of The Year. I felt called to flow deeper.
Flow Deeper
One of the most heartening of places that the word popped up is in my scripture reading. I read Psalm 1 and word ‘flowing’ jumped out at me. To paraphrase it read:
“Happy indeed is the (wo)man …… whose delight is in the law of the Lord …. He is like a tree planted beside the flowing waters, that yields its fruit in due season and whose leaves shall never fade and all that s/he does shall prosper”
What does it mean to be a tree by a spring of water?
Trees that have access to flowing water, drink deep. They have deep roots. The trees are plugged into the Source of life. They are fruitful.
I felt called to plug in to my faith a lot more through the month. Spending more time reading and reflecting.
I heard the call to go deeper within myself. I wrote less, I reflected more. Tried hard to look at things from a wiser and deeper perspective.
The call to flow deeper, was also a call to trust in the goodness of God, the abundance of the Universe. It was a call to let go of outcomes and just be.

This is lovely. So often we move through the world so fast, that we fail to see where things want to flow. We overlook it as we strive for the next whatever. Blessings on your time to flow.
I’m being called to slow down a lot this year, Tess. Thank you for visiting and your blessings.

I do love the Psalms!
