He had a puzzled expression on his face when he asked : “Are you scared of heights?”
“Not at all,” she answered, mirroring his puzzled expression. “Why do you ask?”
“I just wondered why you keep refusing that promotion?”
“I’m not sure. But if I took it, my office would be on the ground floor. So I don’t understand your question.”
“Think about, sweetheart. You’re qualified, you’re experienced, you’ll be the CEO of your dream company. And yet you keep refusing the promotion every time it’s offered to you. You’re scared of rising to the top. Aren’t you suffering from vertigo?“
May you be inspired – every day!
PS: This is a scheduled post. I will respond to comments when I’m back online – 9 June 2012. Thank you.

@mannbik Good for you!
🙂 dizzy heights.
Sometimes we allow fear to keep us from realizing our dreams. Pushing through the fear and self-doubt is the only way to move forward. Nice little piece of inspiration Corinne!
@floridancing You’ve made a great start, Leah. And pushing past the fear is the only way to go.
Deep post, Corinne or should I say, HIGH post 😉 you leave us pondering over your questions…
@SulekhaRawat Thanks. I think you’ve started the climb and I salute you, Sulekha!
Made me think about some of the fears I have because of which I am unable to follow my dreams – beautifully written!
@privytrifles I think we all have to let go of our fears and climb to the heights we are called to.
I guess I have vertigo Corinne. I have always refused promotion, never sure of myself enough
@nikky44 Perhaps the next time you won’t refuse it. ♥
It’s the climb 😛
I love how you’ve stressed out that point BS 😉 I’m afraid of heights too…
@MelissaTandoc I wonder why we are, Melissa. Aren’t we called to be the best we can be?
Never fear success!
Right you are – but some of us do!
