There was a power outage early last week due to a storm and when I was deprived of electricity, I rediscovered the joy of printed books. It was a lovely feeling, reading a book again, feeling the pages on your fingertips.

I realised that my initial comment came straight from my heart (gut?) and wasn't censored by me so it no doubt came across as a criticism of you which it wasn't intended to be. It (your post) just seemed so out of the range of what other things you had posted (an outlier perhaps?) that I felt the urge to comment ... but then again why shouldn't you be human like the rest of us and be entitled to a "shadow" too? I don't "know" you anymore than any of the people on this site "know" you I expect. I came across your posting once and I can't remember when now or what it was about but obviously I enjoyed it enough to subsribe to your blog. I enjoy them most of the time actually. My comment above was was merely an observation about not giving this sort of person any oxygen. Clearly they don't deserve your energy. Sense they would be getting off on your attention too (narcisstic supply anyone?). Much like you starve a fire by denying it oxygen and it eventually goes out but pouring hot oil on has the other effect ... anyway we all do what we need to do with what we know and no way is right or wrong ... but some ways are more likely to lead to better outcomes than others :~)

This was not really a 'stalker' in the true sense of the word but someone I knew very well and hence the comment from Anon who also seems to know me! However, I have no regrets about what I wrote. Corinne, I don't agree with anonymous. All my sympathy and also, you did the right thing by writing this post. I had a stalker as well on my Sulekha blog and I did the same thing to deal with him. He disappeared for some time, but has returned with pestering messages. It is irritating to see the name in the inbox and sulekha does not have the function of blocking messages. So, I just delete them without opening.
But I felt great when my post hit bulls eye!

Why are you giving this person any energy whatsoever? I found this post quite disturbing actually but only because of the negative energy emanating from you about this person and not in fact about what this person is (or was)doing. I can quite understand that you feel all of this of course but personally would not want to lower myself to their level or show that they are affecting me still and that much is apparent from the passion in this post.
