Last month I shared Garth Brooks' 'A Dream Is Like A River' and asked you to share your favorite lines and guess mine. Thank you for your responses - they were most enlightening. Thank you, Colors, Indyeah, Madhavi, Patty, Veronica and Vidya.
This is what Colors had to say:
My favorite lines and I guess yours too -"and I will sail my vessel 'til the river runs dry." This line exuberates the spirit of 'going on in life'.
Well said! Yes, I believe that life is all about going on, but I also believe that HOW we 'go on' is also very important.
One of my favorite themes in life is that if you don't risk, you don't grow. I've shared this in quite a few posts of mine. So it's only natural that these are the lines of the song that appeal to me the most :
(So don't you sit upon the shoreline
And say you're satisfied)
Choose to chance the rapids
And dare to dance that tide
I'm going to keep this short - will be back to a more regular blog soon. Thanks for your wishes - I'm doing fine!
